Monday Memorial

Hey guys! I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend and were able to rejoice in their bravery and strength. I spent my weekend camping in La Push and with my family! It was great fun and I'm looking forward to a 4 day week!! I find it much easier to get by on a Monday when I'm not doing anything terrible!
I went to the beach

 saw the forest

 saw a river

and hung out with some friends

it was a pretty good weekend

The Wisteria is a blooming

So Monday has come around once again and I’m happy to say that it’s almost over! I’m currently writing this at 10:09 and I know I’m tiered. Summer is about to be upon us and I am super excited to leave school and go to camp. For me I still have four weeks left and they’re going by like a glacier frozen to the Arctic Circle. So tonight I will try to make things a bit happier for all y’all. For me, my favorite vine is finally blooming and it’s called a wisteria. It is such a beautiful flower and it smells amazing. Last weekend it was just beginning to bloom and I snapped some great pictures. I’ve seriously been looking forward to this all spring, which is a little odd for me.

Ah.... Sweet Love :)

So do have something that you absolutely love? This is something you have a passion for and something that is a blessing from God. I love taking pictures, more specifically I love looking at something and showing it's beauty, I love capturing a moment and showing it for all it's worth. I haven't been able to feel like I've really done that lately, in the little time I actually use to take pictures, they haven't been cream of the crop. But this weekend, I saw an opportunity and took it (quite literally). As I review them I find that I'm falling back in love with my camera and I am thanking God that He gave it to me. And here they are:

I laugh at the face of Monday!!!

Oh my goodness, so this week is the beginning of the end for me. I have an AP test on Friday and then two others the week after. I am SOOO ready to be done with school and everything that has to do with homework. So yes, tonight’s Monday post is a way for me to “take a break” (seems like I’ve been taking a great amount of those lately). I really just want to get past this week and next so that half my classes are easy. So today is a fun day and I definitely wanted to let you all relax to get through this week!!!
So what I wanted to do right at this moment was look up some funny quotes, I’ll add the ones I really like :D

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants.
-A. Whitney Brown

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

Behind every successful man is a surprised woman. - Maryon Pearson

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

And something that I think will make you laugh also….

(Because he is too!)

Happy Monday!!

Stickers!!!

So, I’ve started something while I’m doing homework. I’m making little sticky notes with small achievable goals on it. I’m doing this so that I will work harder to get all my work done. However, I realize that even though we strive to complete EVERYTHING we really need to take a step back and look over it all and decide if we really have time to finish it all. Now, I’m not saying that you should say oh Keelin said that I don’t have to finish all of my homework so I’m not going to do it because that’s not what I mean. I’m merely saying that many people ask too much of themselves and expect perfection and we will fail because we aren’t perfect beings. Of course there ARE people who seem perfect because they have like 4.0s and 6 AP classes and what-not, but that just means that their level of “them-time” is different than yours or that their priority is different than yours. My English teacher always tells us that we get an imaginary hammer out and start beating ourselves with it anytime we get papers back, she says that we have to look at what we did correctly and what excelled at because we’re not graded on what we didn’t learn but rather how much we did.
So back on the homework thing, everyone needs to be able to take quality breaks and personal time because without it, stress will build up. This is physically bad because I just learned in AP Biology that short-term stress increases your blood-Glucose level, it increases your blood pressure, and it increases your breathing rate.  So when you’ve got a ton of work , what works for me is getting organized, creating lists, getting comfortable and setting small goals that I reward myself with stickers J. But I also allow myself breaks too, not necessarily procrastination (though sometimes it can lead to that), but something that releases some stress so that I can get more of my work done. So visit my new page called Break Time, you can find it in the side bar in the upper right side or just click here.

Oh! And Happy Monday!!!

One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying Purple People Eater

So Monday was an epic fail for me because I didn't post a pick-me up…..but whose Monday is usually fantastic? Anyway, today is actually Tuesday and it is ALMOST the middle of the week. So I have found a pretty cool thing to show you:

This is my new fish, her name is O.P. which actually stands for One-eyed, One-horned, Flying Purple People Eater, but I decided the anagram to that would be very wierd so my friend suggested O.P. She is a beta and she likes her picture being taken. Actually, this pitcure is the only good one I got of her because the rest is her facing me and she looked like a black blob. She sits at my desk and just chills there and she likes to follow my finger when I move it across her bowl. She makes my  mondays special! (even though she's a fish) So here's to all the animals that make our Mondays better than they usually are!!

Late nights.... early mornings

So my Monday was quite an interesting one!!! No, not really. But have you ever noticed that after like 4 diet coke cans your body can simply take no more? Well I have. Last night I was trying to stay up late and finish homework, I definably found my limit…. Sad it’s only four cans L

It’s a good thing though that I had already planned my hair style!!! I know right, the crazy one talking about hair…. Goodness.  But I recently found this channel on the YouTube called LuxyHair!! Now I know I’m going all girly here but it really helped me make a morning after 3 hours of sleep much more manageable!! This is because those two ladies that make hair tutorials only do easy-to-do looks (because they don’t want to hard ones which I totally agree!!!) that require hardly anything besides a hair brush, bobby pins, elastics and occasionally an iron of sorts. They have looks from everyday to messy to formal and prom. I really appreciate their videos and you should look them up!!! Just click on LuxyHair and be amazed!!

This hairstyle is the one Katniss Everdeem’s braid or simply a dutch braid. I’ll link the video to that here.

I hope this helps for future Mondays or other little-sleep mornings!!!

Mondays once again.... :D

HA so today is the first day in a couple months that I’ve done this. I told you..... I’m pretty bad at these. But I’m back!! So this Monday I’ve decided to show you what an actual Monday-blogger does. They’re pretty great :D

However, the next video isn't a monday thing but I found it quite funny

Veteran's Day

Hey guys! I’m actually getting a true Monday pick me-up!! Do I actually have time for it? Not really but who wants to do homework on a Monday?? So, something that really perked me up today was realizing that I have only three days left of school until the weekend! How is this so you ask??? Well, I know for my school district (and I’m pretty sure everyone else’s) is taking Friday off for veteran’s day! So this Monday pick me-up is going really awesome because I really want to thank God for giving us such awesome lives! I can tell you this, I am sooooo thankful for our troops and veteran because I am definably not brave enough for war and if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have what we have today.  So today’s pick me-up is for all the things we love in life, things that makes us smile is a pretty good indicator for those things! Have a great awesome Monday and say thanks to our troops!!!

Friday? pick me-ups??

Ok guys, so here’s the deal-i-o. I didn’t forget to write the past two Mondays for Monday pick me-ups, I just didn’t have time. And I’m REALLY sorry and I hope you can forgive me for all the hardships that I just know you’ve had! I mean, how could possibly live through Mondays without my pick me-ups!!!  And since today is NOT a Monday I still want to be excited for the day that it IS. And I’m pretty glad that it’s FRIDAY!!!! So please sit back and rock out to some pretty awesome Friday-y things!!!! Here comes the weekend!!!!!

ok, so I’m sooo thrilled about this song either, but with anything annoying or terrible you can rock out and act completely stupid! So turn it on and turn it up!!!

so after that (maybe you didn’t even watch it) but now I have something you absolutely HAVE to watch!!!

Ok, so I put two videos of this guy, but im tellin you, you HAVE to watch this too! I’m not going to put something on here that I think you shouldn’t watch (except maybe “Friday” but that was for ceremonial purposes only)

Thanks for all you guys went through!!!! Have a great weekend and maybe I’ll have a Monday pick me-up in a couple days!!!

Do you like waffles?

So today is October 17, which also happens to be a Monday, one of many this year. Sadly, for me at least, this Monday is like no other and at the end of the day I am tired and ready for Friday. My weekend, if you care to know, was fun. I did some really cool things like go to the Sounders game and volunteer to cheer on racers at the “Race for a Solider” race. You know those weekends where you just can’t wait to do all the things you want to do and while you’re doing them you’re just so excited and having a great time you don’t see your whole weekend disappear? Then when you wake up Monday morning you realize you only slept, like, 5 hours or less through the entire weekend and you wish you had another two days to rest? Well that was my weekend; and so, this Monday Pick Me-Up will be dedicated to the weekend, and remembering how fun it was and at least trying to get you more excited for the week!
these videos are things i've done on weekends, not necessarily this weekend(:))

Rainy Days

So happy Monday the 10th and I just want to stop and ask:

How are you? How’s your week been going? Everything ok and dandy? I hope so!

So yesterday I posted about happiness, the idea which I got from one of my best friend (and other blogger). And I really liked thinking about all those things that give us crap and make our days suck, especially on Mondays. So this Monday I’m gonna go for things that kinda calm us down a bit, make us relax and breathe. And you know what? My Monday hasn’t been the prodigal day-off from school. I got up early and had to go to the doctor’s for a physical.  I got two shots and blood drawn and all in my right arm so I bet you could maybe see my discomfort, but I got to hang out with my friend Amanda. So it was ok. As I sat down to do some homework I got on YouTube too (I know what a great way to start homework) and I was watching this video and in one the comments it said to go to “rainy mood” on Google and click the first link and then listen to the song (“how he loves” by David Crowder band) and it was really cool. So click some  rainy stuff and just relax. Also I’ve put some other cool pics below. I love water and what it does to the forest. I love seeing the dreen in maple leave and the brightness of the cloudy sun.  I hope you feel like curling up in a blanket and good book and relax on this Columbus Monday!
another cool thing to listen to:my relaxing day

Annoying Mondays

So once again another Monday has come again and brought with it its troubles. For example, this morning I didn’t wake up on time and got up 30 min late! (And you know, I've always hated that sound)What a way to start the week! School wasn’t that great either and now I’ve been sentenced with a bundle of homework because I slacked off on looking at moodle (online planner basically for teachers) this weekend.  So extra torment for me! How wonderful!!! Well I did have some pick me-ups like my best friend isn’t moving (yay!!!! Which sadly when she told me I wasn’t in the mood for jumping up and down so I think I made her a little sad) and then being able to watch Doctor Who and learn that he (oops spoilers* ;)haha) anyway when I got home I was still in a funk and so I hope these thing cheer you up as it did me J

Something New

So I found something that I think would be super extra cool for my blog. You see, my friend Morgan also has a blog (she’s actually the one who I found this from) and she does these awesome special days where she posts something extra different or yummy and stuff like that. So I’ve been pondering that and I’ve decided to do something like that (if you haven’t guessed already). I will apologize ahead of time for all the mistakes I make and hope you will still enjoy coming. Thanks Morgan!!

(p.s. her blog is called snapography and she has an amazing blog that i recommend you visit!!)

So we all know that Mondays usually pretty much suck. Today it’s raining and cold and gray. BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t remember or see cool things in our Mondays that can’t give a little hop to our step. Every Monday I’ll post something that made my day a little happier, in a picture, verse, video or song I will hope to make your Monday just a little smoother than usual!
